On a June 4th summer-temperate eve, guests gathered excitedly atop deca's rooftop bar at The Ritz-Carlton (TRC - A Four Season Hotel) Chicago, for the first Celebrated Chefs Cook for a Cause in support of Camp Kids are Kids Chicago (CKAKC). Tom Segesta, General Manager for TRC and Vice-President of CKAKC says the organization "is a TRC-hosted annual pediatric oncology camp experience for 32 children (ages 8-16) living with cancer set in an urban environment. Our mission is to foster a spirit of joy in a fun, safe and medically sound, camping experience...that builds self-esteem, independence and friendships for children living with cancer." The aromatic ambience and social business buzz of the guests was almost magical as their good vibrations muted the sounds of the Windy city in a mirrorlike, firelit, glow-in-the dark at sunset-tabled, grandiose Gold Coast setting.
